With larger iPhones come greater power requirements, and battery packs and other charging solutions were quite prevalent in the iProducts Marketplace, with new battery cases from Lenmar and PhoneSuit, a new charging adapter and portable power pack from Lynktec, and battery packs with enough juice to jump start a car or even a truck from WeeGo.
Lenmar’s Maven ($100) is a new iPhone 6 battery case that distinguishes itself by using a ceramic lithium rechargeable battery, resulting in a much lighter weight than most other options. It provides 3000 mAh of power and is available in four colors. An iPhone 6 Plus version is not yet available.
For those interested in a more durable solution, Lenmar’s Havoc ($130) is a new shock and water resistant battery case for the iPhone 6. Providing 3200 mAh of power, Havoc includes a guarantee that the company will cover any damages to your iPhone that occur while it’s properly protected in the case.
Lynktec’s Reeljuice ($90-$120) is an interesting new charger and battery pack designed for on-the-go charging with a unique design that features a 48″ retractable cord reel, allowing users to charge an iPhone in a convenient location, or use it more easily while connected to the battery pack.
The pack features a modular design with the ability to charge from any USB port, or dock with the included 10W rapid charger to plug directly into a wall outlet. Both micro-USB and Lightning plugs are provided. Reeljuice is expected to ship in March and will be available in 5200 mAh and 10400 mAh capacities.
The 360 Grip Stand ($40) is a new iPad stand that adheres to the back of your device securely using reusable microsuction technology, and once attached, it allows you to stand your iPad up on a table or other flat surfaces in varying orientations and angles. The full adjustable hinge can also double as a handhold for carrying your iPad, allowing you to effectively leave the 360 Grip Stand on during regular use.
Phonesuit has debuted its new Elite 6 Battery Cases ($80-$110) for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, featuring an ultra-slim design, two-hour quick charge technology, and the ability to pass through charge and sync with iTunes without needing to remove your iPhone from the case.
Most notably, a free Power Management App is provided that works with the case to intelligently control, monitor, and customize the battery case from your connected iPhone, including the ability to have the case automatically switch on when the iPhone battery drops below a certain level. PowerSuit is available in both Elite 6 editions, with the iPhone 6 providing 2200 mAh of power, and the iPhone 6 Plus version coming in with 3000 mAh; Elite 6 Pro editions bump those capacities to 3000 mAh and 4200 mAh, respectively. The new cases are expected to be available by the end of this month.
WeeGo was showing a new lineup of battery packs that double as jump starters for your car or other gas or diesel engine battery. Available in 6000 mAh, 12000 mAh, and 18000 mAh capacities, Jump Starters ($100-$190) are bundled with a set of jumper cables, as well as a 3-in-1 USB charging cord with micro-USB, Dock Connector, and Lightning plugs, and a carrying case. The 12V lithium-ion battery can handle up to 1000 full charging cycles, and the device also incorporates a flashlight, strobe, and emergency light.
