MacFixit reports that Belkin’s soon to be released Auto Kit w/ Dock Connector for new iPod is too long for some car’s cigarette lighter power adapters.
“Some Volkswagen models, and perhaps cars from other manufacturers, have too shallow a recession in the cigarette lighter to accommodate the Belkin adapter.
Unfortunately, the Belkin is one of the only solutions available that includes a connector for the new proprietary FireWire/Power port on the new iPods.
